What does DEP Certified mean?
Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (PA DEP) requires a DEP Bulk Water Permit to haul potable water. PA regulations contain specific requirements for bulk water hauling systems including tank and equipment hygiene. Essentially, fuel/ water contact surfaces must be made of safe and approved materials that are non-toxic and non-absorbent.

Transportation tankers and tanks must be sealed at all times except when cleaning, filling or delivering.
